Yue's Expertise
As Senior Managing Director and Head of Investments, Yue spearheads deal sourcing and execution, overseeing due diligence, portfolio management and identifying value creation opportunities. Serving on the firm’s investment committee, she brings two decades of private equity and growth equity investing experience. Yue serves as board director for two platform companies, Sorenson—the leading U.S. communications provider for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing and My Code—a leader in multicultural media and marketing services. Throughout her career, she has been involved with over $1 billion of investments across a diverse portfolio of companies and has served on 11 private company boards across various industries. Notably, Yue was a managing director in the private equity division of The Carlyle Group, as well as a director in the private equity division of KKR. During her decade-long tenure at Palladium Equity Partners, Yue played a key role in fostering growth through strategic investments and partnerships with minority-owned businesses, particularly in buyout and growth equity transactions. In the early stages of her career, she was a member of the financial services investment banking group at Morgan Stanley. Yue holds a BS in finance and East Asian studies from the University of Southern California. Beyond her role at Ariel, she remains active in the investment community and is dedicated to mentoring young professionals. Yue has also been recognized for her achievements with the National Association of Investment Companies Rising Star Award.
