Yue's Expertise

As Senior Managing Director and Head of Investments, Yue spearheads sourcing and executing deals, overseeing due diligence, portfolio management and identifying value creation opportunities. Serving on the firm’s investment committee, she brings two decades of private equity and growth equity investing experience. Throughout her career, Yue has been involved with over $1 billion of investments across a diverse portfolio of companies and has also served on 11 private company boards across various industries. Notably, Yue was a managing director in the private equity division of The Carlyle Group, as well as a director in the private equity division of KKR. During her decade-long tenure at Palladium Equity Partners, Yue played a key role in fostering growth through strategic investments and partnerships with minority-owned businesses, particularly in buyout and growth equity transactions. In the early stages of her career, she was a member of the financial services investment banking group at Morgan Stanley. Yue holds a BS in finance and East Asian studies from the University of Southern California. Beyond her role at Ariel, she remains an active contributor to the investment community, serving on the Board of the Women’s Association of Venture and Equity. Yue’s dedication extends to mentoring young professionals. Additionally, she has been recognized for her achievements with the National Association of Investment Companies Rising Star Award.
