Norman's Expertise
Norman is responsible for sourcing and executing investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and managing portfolio companies. Prior to joining Ariel, Norman worked for Capital One’s financial sponsors group, which provides nearly $15 billion in capital for private equity-backed transactions. In that role, Norman focused on new deal origination, portfolio company monitoring, and executed over $850 million in buyout investments across diversified industries. He was a founding member of the DEI council and was publicly recognized as a top associate for his outstanding achievements. Norman began his career at Truist Bank, working on mergers and acquisitions as well as corporate restructuring within capital markets. During his tenure, he advised clients and structured over $2 billion in syndicated facilities for middle and upper-middle market companies across multiple sectors. Norman is a board member of Horizons Greater Washington, which advances educational equity by fostering students’ aptitude in STEM. He also maintains active involvement with Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City. Norman earned his BBA with distinction in finance and accounting from the College of William and Mary.
