Michael oversees deal sourcing and execution, due diligence, portfolio management and identifies opportunities for value creation. Prior to joining Ariel, he was a senior investment professional with The Carlyle Group’s Americas Private Equity business, where he was the firm’s 2016 Toigo Private Equity MBA Fellow. Michael currently serves on the board of two platform companies—Groome Industrial Service Group, a specialty maintenance solutions provider serving power generation and industrial end markets—and CQ Fluency, a healthcare translation and communication solutions provider. He began his career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, focusing on principal investments and mergers and acquisitions. Michael holds a BS in finance with a minor in studio art from The Carroll School of Management at Boston College and an MBA from Columbia Business School, where he was a Private Equity Fellow.
